Mission statement
My first big-band musical project was the "Archangel Orchestra Mk I" (1990). It nearly bankrupted me so I got a proper job (for 25 years!) On retirement I had a whimsy to revive the project as "Archangel Orchestra Mk II" (2019).
The revived version kicked off with three shows in 2019 at the Carlton Club in Whalley Range (some phone clips below) and a party at AQL in central Leeds.
However, two years of Covid pandemic caused me to reduce the 10-piece band to a quintet.
I then switched to a new name
"Dr Hoppo's Urban Rooftops" and am gradually rebuilding this towards a large ensemble.
